Full Stack Software Engineer

Synthesis Teams builds game-based experiences to that turn kids into effective decision-makers and communicators. Our co-founder Josh developed the concept for Synthesis Teams when he was director of SpaceX’s Ad Astra school. We are seeking a Full Stack Developer to help us create world-class collaborative problem-solving video games.

What You’ll Do

You will work with a team of developers and designers to deliver high-quality game-based learning experiences that will change the future of education:

  • Collaborate with designers, teachers, operations to design and implement new experiences for our students
  • Have a design instinct and be able to make design decisions to improve the user experience
  • Experiment and iterate quickly, pivoting when prototypes don’t pan out.
  • Set up analytics to measure the impact of your work

What we’re looking for:

  • 2+ years of experience in front-end development using React.
  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript/TypesScript, and related web technologies.
  • Proficiency in SQL, for both building features and data analytics.
  • Experience with Git and version control systems.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Nice to haves:

  • Experience with game development (e.g. Phaser).
